Baggy Snow Pants for Skiing & Snowboarding
SnowRipper makes baggy snow pants for skiers and snowboarders who need full movement, real warmth and a fit that looks good on the mountain. Whether you're hitting jumps, learning to carve or just figuring out which way is down, our baggy ski pants and baggy snowboard pants are made for all of it. Loose fit, serious performance, no nonsense.
Why Riders Choose Baggy Snow Pants
Baggy snow pants aren't just a look. They're how skiing and snowboarding was always meant to feel. A loose fit means your knees go where they need to go, your hips move how they want to and you're not fighting your gear every time you bend into a turn or land a jump. SnowRipper baggy pants are cut with enough room to layer up underneath, so you stay warm when the mountain gets serious without feeling like you're wrapped in a duvet. We test our pants in the Alps at -20°C, so when we say they're warm, we've actually been out there to prove it.
Baggy Ski Pants vs Baggy Snowboard Pants
Ask a snowboarder and they'll tell you skiing and snowboarding are basically the same thing — just one is cooler. Ask a skier and you'll get a very different answer. Either way, when it comes to baggy snow pants, it doesn't actually matter which one you do. SnowRipper pants are made for both skiing and snowboarding. There is no real difference between a baggy ski pants and a baggy snowboard pants. Some brands market them one way or the other, but the pants are exactly the same. No company in the world makes a pant you can only ski in or only snowboard in, and neither do we. Same pants, same fit, same warmth. You just decide what you strap to your feet.
How Should Baggy Snow Pants Fit
Baggy snow pants should feel roomy but not ridiculous. You need enough space in the leg to move freely. Think loose and comfortable, not so big you're tripping over yourself. They should sit comfortably at the waist, come down over your boots and give you room to wear thermals or a mid-layer underneath without bunching up. A simple test: if you can squat down, jump and kneel in deep snow without your pants pulling or pinching anywhere, the fit is right. If you're not sure on sizing, go up rather than down. You can always layer less underneath, but you can't layer more if it's already too tight.
What You Get With SnowRipper Baggy Snow Pants
The Drift is SnowRipper's baggy snow pant. 20,000mm waterproofing, fully taped seams and a 3-layer breathable shell mean rain, slush and heavy snow stay on the outside where they belong. The micro-fleece lining keeps you warm all day without that sticky, clammy feeling you get with cheaper pants. We tested them in the Alps at -20°C. Our customers say they feel like trakkies. Both things can be true.
The fit is what people keep coming back for. Articulated knees mean your legs move the way they need to without the fabric fighting you. There's enough room to fit comfortably over crash pants, knee pads and protective gear underneath, and if you overheat on a long run the inner leg vents let you dump heat fast without stopping to take anything off. Non-slip boot gaiters keep the snow out at the bottom and an adjustable waist keeps everything in place at the top. Four secure pockets for your phone, pass, snacks or whatever else you're carrying.
Not so baggy you're swimming in them, not so fitted you're fighting them on every turn. Just the right amount of baggy. Available in adult and kids sizes from age 5 up, because the little ones deserve to look just as good on the mountain.
